The "59 Minute Baseball Practice" video was put together by Coach Marty Schupak who has coached youth baseball for the past 14 years. Coach Schupak has modified and improved many drills so that a high quality practice may be run for kids in under one hour (59 Minutes). The video took two years to complete, but presents twelve years of knowledge on how to run an effective practice.
The video is informative, coherent, and easy to follow as it instructs on 34 drills. The video, whose length is 34 minutes long, introduces each drill systematically. Every drill starts with a picture of a baseball diamond with icons representing each player and their initial position. This intuitive presentation makes it easy for both the parent and coach to teach and use with his or her players.
The video's content is geared towards youth coaches, parents, and school coaches. It's use will make practices more interesting and enjoyable for both the player and the coach.
One of the biggest reasons this video was made is that many youth baseball coaches can not spend tremendous amounts of time creating fun exercises. Sometimes valuable practice time is wasted by having the team do one exercise for too long. Coach Schupak thought "there has to be a better way." So when he became a manager he researched youth baseball practices by observing baseball team practices of abilities ranging from adolescents to teenagers. After reading numerous books about professional level practices and exercises Coach Schupak collected and created his favorites and began to put together his own formula.
